TEJAS
Well It's TEJAS, India's first multirole fighter made for IAF and Navy after the Marut fighter of 60s and 70s. This fighter took to long to get ready which made the IAF and the Navy reconsider their requirements due to change in Warfare scenarios. This fighter took more than Four decades to get completed and now No one wants to buy it. The Navy has rejected it and the Air force is not ordering it in mass numbers. If this fighter does not get a proper share in market we could see another era of foreign dependency. We are still dependent on foreign companies for its various parts which makes up almost 60% of the total aircraft. But its slowly changing the foreign equipment with our indigenous built equipments. If the TEJAS could become a success this will pave a way for indigenous weapons markets. We are one of the largest weapons importers in the world, but it could change if TEJAS becomes a Success.
